ITES Activity 3 - Keith Barnett

I chose to analyze the Essential Standards for United States History Part 1 and the Common Core ELA Standards for 9-12.  As a general overview of my analysis, I found that ITES Secondary Standards 6.SI.1 and 6.TT.1 have the greatest logical correlations with both of these curriculums.  Standard 6.RP.1 can overlap at any point in either of these curriculums.  It will be up to the discretion of the teacher when planning appropriate grade level projects and/or utilizing technology tools as to when and to what degree ITES 6.RP.1 will be addressed.  ITES standard 6.SE.1 is again less specifically correlated to the History and ELA Common Core curriculums; however, these standards/strands will certainly be an important part of any technology use.  Teachers will have to teach and embed the Safety and Ethical Issues standards/strand into any assignment, classwork, assessment, multimedia presentation, etc that they utilize with their students.

Some specific examples of correlations I found are listed below.
